Halfway Through
June 1st, 2007 / No commentsI went to SBNY with my friends on Memorial Day. It was Musical Mondays, so they had a shitload of Broadway musical clips and televised performances playing across all the screens. You aren’t truly gay till you’ve stood among a roomfull of sweaty swishy men sipping cock(tails) and screaming out the lyrics to Dreamgirls. Not even from the movie — it was a clip of Jennifer Hudson singing “I Love You I Do” on Oprah. Yeah it was THAT faggoty up in thur. So much fun. Oh and you really have to go see Waitress. Keri Russell is just as fun to watch as she was on Felicity, and Andry Griffith’s 400 year old ass is adorable.
Riding the train up to Tarrytown was somewhat emotional for me. Last time I did this I was with Pedro and I remember him telling me about this time he took the train upstate somewhere for a job he was gonna do and blahblahblah… I don’t remember all the details but I could still hear his voice in my ear. Sitting on the train seats and passing all the bridges and little towns, I felt my eyes starting to well up a little bit. I didn’t stay weepy — it was a really nice day and I had the nicest time kicking it solo. The country-fried steak and mango iced tea @ Chili’s is just the way I remembered it.
I now set 3 alarms for myself, fyi.
