An island even more badass than Manhattan. I’m convinced this is hands down the COOLEST place to live. Ever.

I give it 4 days before it’s all covered in graffiti tags again. Still pretty tho.

Well I’m being an absolute weirdo as I type this. Laptopping again (as I do on the regular nowadays), this time it’s worse than being one of those pretentious assholes on their Macs @ Starbucks: I’m actually sitting at a restaurant having dinner. My new favorite discovery (cuz these places do not exist until I find them) is Yum Yum Bangkok in Hell’s Kitchen, the new gayborhood since Chelsea and Outer Chelsea have been conquered and completed. I love this place. Nick and I came here the other night after seeing Boeing Boeing again and I do believe their CocoMo cocktail is god. I had no intention of doing anything afterwork tonight, just going home and crying the stress of work away… but I dozed off on the A train home, woke up in a quick startle thinking I was way uptown and ran out before the train doors shut. Turned out I was only @ 42nd Street but whatever, I’m making lemonade or whatever. Seriously this CocoMo is the shit: pina colada, white rum, mint, pineapple and lime juice.
Other amazing drinks I’ve had that remain unparallelled in my universe: sugar cane Mojitos @ Victor’s Cafe, the butterscoth Hello Kitty cocktail @ Buddha Bar, and the Green Python @ Rainforest Cafe. Yes, I said the Rainforest Cafe… in Atlantic City. Act like you know, bitch. I won’t be ashamed, that shit was god. Yes I’ve decided to stop correcting my spelling everytime I put god instead of good. Cuz some things are so good they’re god. Not God, just godly.
Work has been kicking my ass this week. We made it through Fashion Week with pretty much no big headaches but high maintenance isn’t really specific to any one special season or event, really. I just did my 4 day stint (10hr days, yo) and argh, I’m happy to have a few days to relax now. The new hire @ our desk is turning out to be fantastic and I really like having her on board. Work could suck a hundred time worse if I had coworkers I couldn’t rely on and Lord knows I’ve seen those days.
Supposed to head to IKEA/the mall/Chili’s in NJ tomorrow with Jessica, Mike, Carrie, and Holly. We need a new floor lamp so I definately need to make that IKEA stop, and I could more always use a few things from H&M… tho it does make ma little sad knowing that I don’t fit into the Small shirts and size 28 shorts anymore. Shit, even those size 30 days are long gone.
Who the hell goes to dinner alone in NYC on a Saturday night and plays on a laptop, getting tipsy on Thai cocktails?

I saw it again tonight with Mishy. We saw the show and then went to dinner @ KLONG. It was great to catch up with her, she gave me lots dish on the company she’s working for (and maybe trying to recruit me for)! She’s so amazing and it feels so good to hang with her b/c we’ve had such great times together and I feel like we’ve seen each other experience so much in the last few years, and to still be in touch and be friends who share… it’s pretty special, I think.
After the show I met Nick after work and we went for drinks @ the Hotel QT. They have a pool in the lobby, it was amazing. Pricey drinks tho. His coworker Brooke hung out with us, she had on this little rugby shirt and looked adorable.
