FUCK YOU, JJ Abrams.  What’s with you and the time-travel fixation?  You did this same shit during the final season on Felicity too, and even then it was weird and badly done.  I hate you and I’ll never trust you again.

We got back from Cancun tonight.  What a great trip, so amazing.  I can’t wait to post the pictures and video, we took lots and lots.  The weather started to get a little overcast by our last day so I think it was the perfect time to go.  US Airways really fucked with us on the flights home tho.  Let me start the recap with a new paragraph cuz the shit is really that deep.

At check-in they tell us the flight is overbooked and offered a later option that included a $325 voucher (each!), which we were happy to accept, but then they basically took too long punching in the update into their system and the offer disappeared.  So I was annoyed, it’s like getting all excited that you just won a prize and then being told somebody stole it so nevermind.  Then our flight was delayed half an hour, then another half hour.  When we finally got to Philly for our connecting flight to LGA they made us claim our luggage and then recheck it, and then we boarded the SMALLEST PLANE I’VE EVER SEEN.  Seriously, the fucking airport shuttle that takes you between terminals was bigger.  The entire plane had 9 rows and the entire back row of the cabin had 5 seats lined up side by side like the back wall of a bus.  No shit.  It was like flying through the air in an RV (Escape to Witch Mountain, what what).  The stewardess — yes, I refuse to call her a flight attendant — got all stank with me for using my Kindle during the official “no portable electronics allowed” time out or whatever (like my Kindle is really gonna cause our plane to crash), she literally just walked up to me and went, “Turn it off.  Turn it off now.”  I spent the rest of the landing thinking of what I wished I’d said back to her.

“Why don’t you turn off your attitude, lady?”
“Who gonna check me, boo?”
“Me and my Kindle aren’t really a danger to this flight.  Worry about the cargo balance being thrown off by your ass instead.”

When we were exiting the plane I overheard her telling a colleague that the passengers are “idiots, I’d strangle them if I could.”  Such a raving bitch. I hope some PR person at Us Airways catches this blog post in a Google search months from now and freaks out, maybe they’ll track down that awful stewardess from Flight 812 from Philly to LGA on Mon 5/17/10 and have her reassigned to understow baggage handling or lavatory maintenance.  Oh, and if all this wasn’t enough? US Airways didn’t load my luggage onto the flight.  Nick got his but mine never came.  I think that bitch stewardess had something to do with it, but that’s just a theory.  Seriously tho, half the other passengers on my flight (all 12 of them) also were standing around waiting on luggage that never came, so I kinda think that the airline actually knew ahead of time the plane was too small to hold everyone’s luggage and just didn’t tell any of us.  So yeah I get to wait for it to be delivered tomorrow.  Thank God I carry everything important with me onboard in my messenger bag.

Bitching aside I really had a wonderful trip, so sad to see it come to a finale.  All-inclusive really is a fantastic way to travel, I love that I barely spent anything the entire week we were in Mexico.  Also I just wanna mention if it wasn’t clear before that Nick is hands down the cutest, most affectionate and loving boyfriend I’ve ever had.  I spent a lot of my time on this trip really seeing him, like realizing one again how special a partner he is.  I’m so happy to have him at my side.  He’s literally at my side right now, crashed out asleep.  I’m going to join him.

Oh, I also watched the Gossip Girl finale, too.  Jenny Humphrey, it’s time to take those extensions out.

So I totally got called out on something today (remember that bone my colleague said they had to pick with me?) and I felt blindsided.  All I could really do was apologize and feel bad; I think that’s the normal reaction when you find yourself being held accountable for being shady.  Nobody died and nobody stole or cheated or lied, but yeah, I tried to be a little sneaky about something small the other day and it did not go unnoticed.  Pisses me off cuz I didn’t really like having to answer to this person, but shit man, I have to just own my stuff.  Of course I didn’t waste time trying to make excuses, but I did offer a “where I’m sort of coming from” statement with my apology… pretty sure it fell on deaf ears.  That comment they made about how “it’s just kind of mad me sad cuz I felt like it said something about your character” is what I hate the most.  The most frustrating part of the whole scenario is that I can’t really do anything about it now.  Time.  Better intentions.  Maybe a handwritten note.  These are such flimsy tools and they’re all I have to work with.

What a stupid start to my week.  Just wanna go to bed and let everything just wash away.
